EMERGE, PLLC is a Personal and Relationship Coaching and Enrichment Company committed to assisting each person in achieving personal wholeness, interpersonal awareness, and healthy relationships through counseling, coaching, seminars, relationship enrichment programs and self development exercises.

Encourage individuals to avoid all forms of illicit and unhealthy relationships, including but not limited to, domestic violence relationships and seek professional help from local community agencies.

A Word About the Lead Therapist

Charmaine M. Smith, LMFT, is a Psychotherapist, Relationship Coach, and Certified Family Court Mediator. Charmaine is licensed in the states of Kentucky and Texas along with Tele-Counseling accreditation.

Charmaine graduated Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Charmaine is an approved Marriage Enrichment facilitator by Family Dynamics, PREP and Life Innovations. Charmaine holds membership in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Kentucky Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the National Association of Female Executives (Women on the GO Network) and the Professional Woman Network (PWN).

Charmaine has co-authored three books, (1) Learning to Love Yourself: Self Esteem for Women, (2) Second Chance Living: Out of the Darkness, Into the Light and a contributive manuscript in the PWN Library series for African American Women, and (3) Learning to Love Yourself: A Handbook for the African American Woman.

Charmaine has always been passionate about SELF improvement, SELF renewal, and SELF discovery for all people.
